Anterior Approach Total Hip Replacement Video:
The following Anterior Approach Total Hip Replacement Video demonstrates the Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgical (AMIS) surgical procedure. The video demonstrates the principles and technique of the AMIS anterior approach for total hip replacement.
In the anterior approach, hip replacement is performed between muscles at the front of the hip. There is no cutting or other violation of the hip abductor muscles or of the posterior capsule or hip external rotator muscles. This distinguishes the anterior approach from the traditional lateral and posterior approaches respectively.
** Warning **: This video contains an actual surgery demonstration. While the video is edited for brevity, actual surgery is demonstrated and the contnt may be considered to be graphic by some viewers .Viewer discretion is advised.
