Anterior Approach for Total Hip Replacement Surgical Video:
The following video demonstrates the Anterior Total Hip Replacement (AMIS) Surgical Procedure.
The video demonstrates the principles and technique of the AMIS anterior approach for total hip replacement.
Anterior Hip is an surgical approach in which hip replacement is performed between muscles at the front of the hip.
There is no cutting or other violation of the hip abductor muscles of the hip or of the posterior capsule or hip external rotator muscles in the anterior approach. This distinguishes the anterior approach from the traditional lateral and posterior approaches respectively.
